Twitter knows that one of its greatest strengths, the largely unfiltered fire-hose of information the service spurts out at around 95 million tweets per day, is also its greatest weakness.
The prosecution said the fireservice had many systemic failings, including the distribution of information about buildings and water supplies and also the training of firefighters.
That meant selling information to virtually anyone--inventory-tracking data to car dealers, load-matching service to truckers, coupon-printing kiosks to grocery stores and fire-alert information to forestry services.
